How to choose a Download BAPLIE variant
Use this guide to download your BAPLIE file in the version that you uploaded, with some data removed. You can remove the NAD segments (name and address data) or the extra RFF segments (reference data). A segment is one coded line of the BAPLIE file.
Before you start: open your file.
- In the Function Menu on the left, open Management and click Download BAPLIE. The Download BAPLIE page opens.
- Open the list Select which version of BAPLIE to download… (1 in the picture).
- Choose the variant that you need. The table below explains each variant.
- Read the message under the list (2 in the picture). It shows the file name and what the download changes. The file downloads to your computer.

This picture shows the choice Current Version without NAD segments. The next picture shows Current Version with single RFF segment per container.

The variants
Section titled “The variants”| Choice in the list | What changes in the file |
|---|---|
| Current Version without NAD segments | The NAD segments are removed from all containers, full and empty. |
| Current Version without NAD segments from Full Containers | The NAD segments are removed from full containers only. Empty containers keep their NAD segments. |
| Current Version without NAD segments from Full Containers and without Container ID unless Hazardous | The NAD segments are removed from full containers. The container number is removed from all containers except hazardous containers. See How to download a BAPLIE without container numbers (except hazardous). |
| Current Version with single RFF segment per container | A container can have more than one RFF segment. The download removes the extra ones, so that each container has one RFF segment. |
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- All four choices start with Current Version. The file keeps the BAPLIE version that you uploaded. They do not convert the file to another version. To convert to BAPLIE 2.2, 2.0 or 1.5, see How to navigate the Download BAPLIE option.
- The download uses the data as it is now in BAPLIE Viewer Online. It includes your edits.
- The file name ends with .txt. You can change this to .edi. See How to download files with .EDI extension instead of .TXT.
- For files in BAPLIE version 3, see Do you support BAPLIE version 3?.
- If a download does not look right, see How to contact Support and create a support ticket.
